Google Gears : Newest Product of Google Just Launched

The Fresh and new product of Gooogle i.e. Google Gears (BETA) is an open source browser extension that enables web applications to provide offline functionality using following JavaScript APIs:

It can do following :

"Store and serve application resources locally", "Store data locally in a fully-searchable relational database", "Run asynchronous Javascript to improve application responsiveness"... I was just wondering if something like this existed, so yay, question answered! It looks useful, to say the least!( Now if only I knew how to use it. )

i still think that one day google is gonna look at everything that they've made, realize that they basically have all the pieces of an OS, do the final details, and release it.

i understand that there would still be alot of work involved...but i think virtually every feature in an OS, google will eventually release in the form of one of their own special programs and that it's only a matter of time before they have all the pieces...

i think that its off line software like this that is indication that this will happen.


and this Google Gears is Cross Platform, it's a very good news for Techies !
